The famous Tarzan of the Apes is most well-known from its Disney movie but the original book, first published in the All-Story Magazine in 1912, has profound symbolism and intricate character development. We encourage all of you to read this book and enjoy the epic tale of the godly figure known as Tarzan. Follow his life from boyhood to adulthood under his mother Kala, and his adventure with love with Jane. You will also be able to see Tarzan discover his deep family background as a Greystone. Tarzan of the apes is only the first novel from the 24 novel series. The purpose of this website is to familiarize the reader with the novel, and analyze the themes, quotes, and literary devices.
